January is School Board Recognition Month. Last night, we recognized our incredible school board members. We celebrate our dedicated board members who work hard each day in support of Burlington-Edison students.
Sending out special gratitude this week for our B-ESD Transportation Coordinator, Dan VerMulm. Dan was out driving roads between 3:30am-4:30am each morning this week in order to provide the best guidance on the safety of our bus routes. CLOSED: Due to unimproved road conditions, Burlington-Edison School District will again be closed on Thursday, January 18, 2024. In anticipation of freezing overnight temperatures and the forecast for continued inclement weather causing the potential for unsafe driving conditions, B-ESD will be on a 2-hour late start on Thursday, January 18th. There will be no AM preschool. There will be limited Snow Routes in the Alger and Bow areas. Our hotline (360-542-3420) will be updated by 6:00am on Thursday, January 18th if a decision is made to cancel school. We will also communicate with families via email and auto dialer as soon as possible if a cancellation is required.
