Burlington-Edison K-2 Families,
If you use Seesaw to communicate with your student’s teacher, please be aware that the messaging service on the platform has been temporarily disabled. The platform was hacked and is experiencing a nationwide issue where some school district families and teachers were receiving links/URLs to inappropriate images.
If you have received a Seesaw message that appears to be from your student’s teacher or anyone else in the last 24 hours that contains a link/URL, please do not click on the link or open the message. Seesaw is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it. Once they inform school districts that it has been resolved, we will let you know. In the meantime, if you need to speak with your student’s teacher please send them an email or reach out to questions@be.wednet.edu for more information.
It is important to note that this is NOT a breach of Burlington-Edison’s system, but is in fact an issue with Seesaw. Seesaw is aware of the issue and we are awaiting a corrective action plan from them.
In the meantime, we highly encourage all parents to change their personal password to their Seesaw account by going to https://app.seesaw.me/#/reset_password. Student access to Seesaw has been suspended while we work to address the concern.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding.
