The 2022-2023 school year began with Family Connection Meetings for grades 1-8. We know that the most essential partners that we have in support of student learning is with our students’ families. Starting the year with these meetings was key to setting up students for a successful school year.
These Family Connection Meetings provided opportunities to strengthen the home-school partnerships and build relationships between teachers and families to best set up students for success. Our teachers met with over 75% of all District Families. We surveyed students, families and B-ESD staff to collect feedback on these meetings. An overwhelming 90% of participants indicated that they appreciated the opportunity to meet and develop relationships at the beginning of the school year. As we look forward to the following school year, we will use information from these surveys, as well as feedback from the upcoming targeted conferences in November, to inform our planning processes.
