Summer Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits are back!
This summer, all families of Burlington-Edison School District will receive the P-EBT benefits, regardless of income. This is a result of B-ESD being part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program in 2022-23, which allows the district to offer free breakfast and lunch to all enrolled students during the school year.
Thanks to remaining federal COVID-19 relief funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), families will have another round of food assistance available to them while children are home during the summer break.
Later this summer, District families will each receive a letter in the mail explaining the Summer P-EBT benefits. Those families new to this program will also receive one P-EBT card per student enrolled in Burlington-Edison School District for the 2022-23 school year. Each card will have a value of $120 loaded on them. The letters will also include information for families who wish to decline P-EBT benefits. Funds cannot be gifted or donated.
If your family has received a P-EBT card in the past, you will receive a letter and your existing P-EBT cards will be loaded with the funds. If you do not have your P-EBT cards anymore, you can call the P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282.
If you have changed addresses this school year, and have not updated it with the school district, please contact the P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282 to update your current address.
