Dr. Medina is one of the country's main experts on Dual Language, and he will be presenting on this topic by zoom today, December 7th from 6:00-7:00pm. The presentation will also be available at West View and LU during that time. The session will be in Spanish and English at the same time. The Burlington-Edison Band Program presents its winter program on Thursday, December 8th at 7:30pm in the B-EHS PAC. Winter has arrived early here in the valley. Come and enjoy live music representing this time of year.

Two B-ESD leaders were recognized by local community organizations at separate events yesterday. Superintendent Browning received a Paul Harris Award from the Burlington Midday Rotary for her years of dedication to students across the community. Executive Director Todd Setterlund received a Community Spirit Award from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County for his support for the club within the school district.

9:57am: B-EHS and West View are currently in lockdown as a safety precaution due to a student situation. Burlington Police are on campus and addressing the situation. We will provide updates as available.
