At Thursday morning's annual United Way of Skagit County giving event, administrators from the Burlington-Edison School District (B-ESD) presented a check on behalf of all B-ESD employees. Through an annual giving campaign, B-ESD employees collectively donated $12,000 in support United Way's efforts to help all Skagit children enter kindergarten ready to learn. Bay View school teacher Jenna Perry gave the keynote address for the event and shared the importance of preparing students to be successful in kindergarten. #WeAreBE
