Burlington-Edison School District Policies

School district board policies are essentially the rulebook for how a school district operates. They cover a wide range of topics, from curriculum and instruction to student discipline and staff conduct. These policies are crucial because they ensure consistency and fairness across the district. They also provide a clear framework for administrators, teachers, students, and parents, outlining expectations and guidelines for everyone involved in the educational process. Many of these policies and procedures are required by state law.
During the school year, district policies and procedures will continue to be reviewed and updated.  Any current policies under review can be found here - School Board Policy Review
