Dear Bay View Families,
I can’t believe it is April already! Spring is on its way and we are beginning all the end of year events as we conclude our 2025 - 2026 school year. I am excited to share all the great things in store for your children this spring. I will start off with the state wide assessments that are scheduled for our 3rd through 5th grade students. This testing will begin next week as our 5th grade students take the WCAS Science Assessment on April 27. I would like to clarify that these assessments do more than simply evaluate your child’s academic progress throughout the year, they also offer schools an opportunity to analyze our effectiveness and make adjustments when necessary. I would encourage you to ensure that your children get a good night's sleep the night before any scheduled assessment.
I would also like to share that we plan on organizing a 5th grade Celebration Event to honor each of our 5th grade students. We will provide each 5th grade student a certificate of completion of their elementary years and celebrate their readiness for middle school. We will host this 5th Grade Celebration on Monday, June 15, 2026. Bay View Elementary’s celebration will take place from 2:00–2:45 p.m. in the Bay View Gym. Fifth grade families are warmly invited to attend as we celebrate your student’s time at Bay View Elementary School. Additional details about this event and middle school registration will be shared soon. In the meantime, please mark your calendar for this special event.
In addition to these announcements, I would like to invite you to purchase a 2025 - 2026 Bay View Yearbook. Our school yearbook is filled with the moments that made this year special—friendships, milestones, laughter, and everything in between. It costs $20 and is a keepsake your child will treasure long after the last bell rings. Orders close May 1st. Estimadas Familias de Bay View,
¡No puedo creer que ya sea abril! La primavera está a la vuelta de la esquina y estamos dando inicio a todos los eventos de fin de curso, a medida que concluimos nuestro año escolar 2025-2026. Me entusiasma compartir todas las cosas maravillosas que les esperan a sus hijos esta primavera. Comenzaré hablando sobre las evaluaciones estatales programadas para nuestros estudiantes de 3º a 5º grado. Estas pruebas darán comienzo la próxima semana, cuando nuestros estudiantes de 5º grado presenten la Evaluación de Ciencias WCAS el 27 de abril. Me gustaría aclarar que estas evaluaciones hacen mucho más que simplemente evaluar el progreso académico de su hijo a lo largo del año; también brindan a las escuelas la oportunidad de analizar nuestra eficacia y realizar ajustes cuando sea necesario. Por favor asegúrese de que sus hijos descansen bien la noche anterior a cualquier evaluación programada.
También me gustaría compartirles que tenemos previsto organizar un evento de celebración para el 5º grado, con el fin de honrar a cada uno de nuestros estudiantes de este nivel. Entregaremos a cada estudiante de 5º grado un certificado de finalización de su etapa de educación primaria y celebraremos que ya están listos para iniciar la escuela secundaria. Esta celebración de 5º grado se llevará a cabo el lunes 15 de junio de 2026. El evento tendrá lugar de 2:00 a 2:45 p. m. en el gimnasio de Bay View. Las familias de los estudiantes de 5º grado están cordialmente invitadas a asistir para celebrar el tiempo que sus hijos han pasado en la Escuela Primaria Bay View. Próximamente compartiremos más detalles sobre este evento, así como información sobre la inscripción en la escuela secundaria. Mientras tanto, les invitamos a reservar esta fecha en sus calendarios para este evento tan especial.
Además de estos anuncios, me gustaría invitarlos a adquirir el anuario 2025-2026 de Bay View.
