Welcome to Room 116, THE place for learning. 5-8 grade students join us for a variety of learning activities. Some check in to start their day with a positive attitude. Others end their day with 50 minutes of concentrated help time for classroom work. Throughout the day you will find small groups working to improve their reading, writing or math skills.
All of this is possible because of a caring and dedicated teaching team. Shelee King George is new to Allen and manages the learning for students in Room 116. She is joined by Linda Bishop and Ms Lisa who bring a wealth of knowledge about the staff, students and community of Allen Elementary.
Mrs. George works with 5-8 students, focusing on direct intervention to increase learning. Linda Bishop works primarily with 7th and 8th grade students. Her never ending wit and wisdom has students seeking her out for help beyond the small group work time. Ms. Lisa works with ELL students, and 5-8 grade students. Her creative spirit and caring soul creates a safe and caring environment for our students to learn.
Stop by Room 116 to see our learning in action.
