Welcome to Allen-“Home of the Vikings”!

We are a lively learning community nestled in the middle of beautiful country in

Bow Washington. We serve the needs of almost 450 students, ranging in age from Kindergarten through Eighth grade.

As part of the Burlington School District we:

• provide a safe, nurturing learning environment with Highly Qualified and Nationally Certified teachers.
• ensure a protective environment with caring instructional assistants, efficient secretaries, and quality custodians.
• promote active and engaging instruction for all students
•  partner with families and the community to ensure a positive learning environment, embrace diversity, and demonstrate our belief that each child can learn.
• most importantly, love to learn and have fun each day!

Allen is a warm, caring, and respectful place where all students are supported and guided toward meeting their own potential, and all students are challenged to progress and succeed. We also strive towards reinforcing social and self respect.

Along with what I have described above, Allen students and faculty are thankful for our booster parent group-Allen Team! This wonderful parent group work extremely hard to provide enriching opportunities for our students that they would not normally experience. For example, financial support is provided to our teachers for field trips to naval bases, downtown Seattle to Pikes Market and the aquarium, a Mariner game, museums, and more. In addition, if a teacher needs extra materials to enhance and impact student learning, the Allen Team without thinking twice, supports their classroom needs. This vibrant team meets the first Monday of every month, at 7 p.m., in the library, and we look forward to meeting and seeing you at our next meeting.
