Dear Edison Families and Community Members,
I feel fortunate to have the privilege of working with the Edison community.   During my visits to the school last June, I was able to observe first hand that our students are eager to learn and that they work hard to learn as much as they can.  I was also clear to me in my visits that the staff members at Edison as dedicated to their profession and truly care about the children.   In my visits with parents and community members, it is equally clear that they are strongly supportive Edison.
Edison has a compelling and challenging vision statement, and I was pleased to see it highly visible and being implemented during my visit:

Every Student, Every Opportunity, Every Day.
I am committed to working with the Edison staff to support each Edison student in receiving the best educational experience possible.  Edison has a strong, experienced and knowledgeable staff.   They are also committed to continuous improvement.  As with last year, we’ll continue our weekly Professional Learning Community meeting times, providing us with time to examine our teaching and learning practices and seek to continue to improve the experiences we provide for all children.
Edison is a wonderful place to learn and grow!  I am proud to be able to work and learn here.  I feel privileged to have Edison’s families share their children with me and the talented Edison staff each day.  I look forward to meeting all of you and working together to build a strong and supportive partnership focused on meeting the needs of all of our students.
