1 - 2 lbs. Of flank steak
1 ½ T. Toasted sesame seeds
1/4 c. soy sause
2 T. + 2 t. brown sugar
1 green onion, sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/4 t. powdered ginger
1/4 t. freshly ground black pepper
1. Lightly score both sides of the flank steak.
2. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl.
3. Place the steak in a dish pouring the marinade over the steak.
4. Place the flank steak on greased broiler pan, making sure to put water in
the bottom of pan.
5. Put oven rack in the highest position and place steak in oven. Set oven to
BROIL. Leave oven door partially open. Allow at least 5 -7 minutes to broil
each side of the steak. Always use the potholders and pull rack out before turning
the steak
6. When serving, cut steak across the grain so it is easy to chew.
