Beginning
Drama -- Introduction of the art of acting. Includes
basic knowledge of stage and acting vocabulary, improvisation, story
telling, and pantomime. Students learn by performing and critiquing
monologues, dialogues, and scenes. Class culminates with a student
directed one act play performed before an audience.

Advanced
Drama -- Continuation of the basics of acting wit
emphasis on individual and group portfolio work. Includes a basic
study of the genres of plays and acting styles. Each advanced student
directs a one act play.

Acting
for the Camera -- Introduction to the art of acting
for film and television. Includes review of basic stage acting and
a comparison of stage and camera work, exercises and activities
in front of the camera, behind the camera projects, film viewing
and critique.

Advanced
Acting for the Camera -- An opportunity to create,
film, and edit scenes and short plays. More practice with individual
skills. Practice for auditions, preparing a resume.

| Tech
Theatre -- This class is designed to be a support
class for the school plays. It includes an introduction to the basics
of lighting, makeup, costuming, sound, stage design, and set building.
many of the class courses are crew work to prepare for productions.
Curriculum includes designing a production of a short play. Students
are expected to spend out of class hours on support crew.
