This semester elective course will examine why the Vietnam War, and the conflict, changes, and divisions it caused in the United States, is the defining event in the latter part of the 20th Century. Reading and in-class participation is a must. Student performance will be assessed on the quality of individual participation through dialogue, debate, critical reading, writing, and thinking skills, and the sharing of fact-based opinion.
