These courses are intended to support new English learners. Credits completed through the ELL Department for graduation will vary depending on the English skills of each student.

BIO

My name is Michael Sampson and I teach English Language Learner classes here at Burlington Edison High School. I attended Westminster Collage and Western Washington University before teaching at Squalicum High School. I believe that we benefit the most from being around people who are different than ourselves. We can learn so much from each other. I think that we should embrace and respect all of our differences. By doing this we will create a positive and fun learning environment.

In time away from school I enjoy spending time in the North Cascade Mountains snow boarding, mountaineering, and hiking. I also play guitar and love to listen to my types of good music.
