The Credit Retrieval Program is a program for students who are currently attending high school and who need to make up credits to obtain their diploma. This program is entered by counselor recommendation, with first priority given to those students who are currently of senior standing.
The cost is $75 per .50 credit and $125 per .50 credit during the summer. Students enrolled in this program are expected to follow all BEHS school rules as outlined in the Burlington-Edison High School Student Handbook.
Attendance
Students are expected to attend the program Monday through Thursday from 3:00-5:00. If a student misses 6 consecutive days they will be dropped from the program, with no refund of tuition.
Expectations
Students are expected to do the following when participating in the Credit Retrieval Program:
If a student is disruptive to the learning environment, he/she will be asked to leave. If a student is asked to leave more than two times, he/she will be dropped from the program and will forfeit the tuition fees.
There is no food and drink allowed by the computers or even in the room.
In the event of computer system failure, students may work on the supplementary work for their subjects.
Students are responsible for their own transportation. Students are not allowed the use the classroom telephone, rides home or destination needs have to be rearranged prior of class time.
Credits/Records
The letter grade "P" will used for each credit earned. Written or outside assignments will be required for most subjects.
All drills, reviews, and applications must be completed with 80% or better accuracy to receive assistance from Instructors on drills, reviews, and applications, however, students must complete all mastery tests independently.
Attendance and records will be maintained by the program coordinator and will be transferred to the Burlington-Edison High School Registrar.
Course Fees
The course fees are as follows:
$75 per .05 credit during the school year and
$125 per .05 credit during the summer
