The CAPS Program is an alternative program designed to temporarily serve students that are unable to attend school during the regular school hours due to a variety of circumstances. The program is intended to be an intermittent placement until students are able to attend the traditional high school setting.
Attendance
Students are expected to attend school Monday through Thursday from 3:00-5:00 PM. If a student misses school he/she must bring a note from a parent or guardian. The note must be brought to the CAPS Instructor the day the student returns to class, and will be considered an excused absence only if it falls under one of the categories defined in the student handbook. If a student misses 10 days per semester, he/she will be referred for the Becca Bill. Students are expected to remain in class from 3:00-5:00. If a student arrives late or leaves early, he/she will be considered absent for the day.
