TECH PREP

Direct College Credit for specific courses at Skagit Valley College and other pending colleges (a work in progress and expanding the number of colleges) was initiated in the 1999-2000 academic year by our Skagit/Island Tech Prep Consortium and member schools.  The Tech Prep Direct Credit program allows students to stay on their high school campus for college-level classes and receive transcripted college credit for those classes upon completion.  Although regular tuition for Skagit Valley College students is $70+ per credit hour, students receiving Direct Credit will not have any fees when they register for the Tech Prep credit.  Also available are vocational training programs in Cosmetology and Carpentry Apprenticeship.
