Salutations! It is wonderful that you are visiting the Burlington-Edison High School website.  Thanks for seeking knowledge concerning our fantastic school.  My job as Dean of Students includes duties relating to attendance, discipline, event supervision, and campus security.  I am here to help students succeed in a safe and fun atmosphere while transforming into positive contributors for the community in which they live.

As part of our firm stance and expectations regarding student behavior and discipline I invite you to read and know the student handbook and the policies therein.  If there is difficulty in understanding a point in the handbook please call the high school and ask for an administrator for assistance.  I would further like to emphasize two major points in this brief note.  One is the need for students to attend school in order to earn credit and succeed.  Graduating and succeeding in high school is a much easier endeavor when students are in class!  Another point of emphasis here at the high school is the ban on electronic leisure and personal communication devices in class.  Please have students keep their cell phones off (no texting!) and their MP3 players and video games (ex: PlayStation Portable) at home.  This will reduce distractions and theft.
