The Tiger Pride Enhancement Project was created to bring back the blue and gold colors to the BEHS campus. Blue and gold "Go Tigers Go" signs now hang on the home bleachers at Kirkby Field and new State Championship banners were placed in the gymnasium last year.
Plans to upgrade the tiger pride theme include:
- Creating a Tiger mural that will be painted on the East side of the Auxillary Building
- Upgrading Lockerroom painting with Blue and Gold stripping plus motivational inscriptions
- Upgrading the Cafeteria painting with Blue and Gold stripping plus motivational inscriptions
- Painting many of the benches and posts in the courtyard and entry area of the school blue and gold
- Painting a mural on the outside of the Tiger Tub in the courtyard
The project was initiated as a result of last year's accreditation process when visiting evaluators commented on the nice facilities, but noticed the lack of blue and gold and school pride.
To help pay for the cost of the projects, $10,000-$12,000 needs to be raised. The process began with several Tiger pride tailgate parties prior to last fall's football games. If you wish to contribute to the cause, please call Beth VanderVeen, Jim Clem, or Mike Curl at 757-4074 for details.
