Library Idea of the Week

I’m experimenting with a free
reading period in the library this quarter. Every Friday, I’m closing the
library for one period and that period is open for free silent reading and
snacks only to students who’ve received a ticket from their teacher. I
distribute 5 tickets to all English teachers on Monday, and they can award them
during the week as prizes. The period will rotate week to week, so that kids in
different classes get a chance to be rewarded with a period of free reading.
I’ll let you know how it works!
