I have a set of laminated book marks for use in my displays, color coded for various topics. Hot pink book marks say NEW at the top, Orange say GREAT BOOK REPORT READING, and I have others for other displays. I always put new books out with these markers, and books that might make good book reports (not too long, too short, too boring, etc). I have permanent spots for these displays, which circulate quite a bit. I have other laminated book marks for displays that I need to make frequently too, such as memoirs, leadership titles, etc. When a student checks a book out, I remove the book mark and reuse it.
