Student Instructions for
Booktalk Stations NAME:_________________
During today’s period, you will learn about a variety of books that
might interest you. You will rotate through a variety of stations to learn about
books in different ways. Please read and follow the instructions below.
1. Once you are assigned to a group, stay with that group for the whole period.
2. Rotate from station to station only when you are told to do so. The groups might not get to all of the stations, but that’s o.k. You’ll still find out about a lot of books.
3. Rotate through the stations in numerical order (if you start at station 3, for example, you’ll go to station 4 next, etc).
4. Follow the directions at each station.
5. Complete the required worksheet (see below) as you progress through the stations.
6. Remember, the whole point of this activity is for you to find books that you’ll like to read—so be on the look-out for appealing material!
