Two (2) credits
are required for graduation, one of which must be a lab science. All
sciences in the science department are lab sciences. Classes that count
as a non-lab science are: Advanced Environmental Ag. Science, Beginning
and Advanced Horticulture, and Beginning and Advanced Ag. Science.
All Students:
To prepare students
for Science WASL, students should take two years of Science in 9th
and 10th grade - one should be a physical science (Physical/Earth
or Chemistry) and the other should
be a life science (Environmental Ag. Science,
or Biology).
College-Bound
Students:
Those students
planning on going directly to a 4-year college should take at least
3 years of science, including Biology
(in 9th grade), Chemistry (in 10th
grade), and Physics.
