WEIGHT TRAINING 9 (9)
Length: 1 Semester
Required unless taking P.E. 9.; no more than 3 sections will be offered
            This class is for hard working and highly motivated athletes participating in one or more extracurricular sports activities. It is an introduction to weight lifting, fitness and conditioning. In this course you will be taught basic free weight lifting, and safety and spotting techniques. Students will lift weights 3 days per week and participate in fitness and conditioning 2 days per week. Students will also be given instruction in kinesiology and physiology of muscle development. Grading in this class is based on participation, conditioning, attitude, effort, assignments, tests, and written work.
