Introduction to Liturature

 

This class will emphasize the Reading Essential Learnings and take students towards two goals:
1) Improving reading skills across-the-curriculum, and

2) Increasing understanding and appreciation of
literature. Students will be reading short stories, essays, poetry, novels, and plays to improve their
reading comprehension skills and introduce them to the elements of literature. Although this class
emphasizes the study of literature and reading, students will be writing on a regular basis.

To successfully complete this course, you will:

1. Complete and turn in a weekly vocabulary worksheet, available from Mrs. Hill.

2. Read "Ender's Game" and complete this assignment.
(NOTE: This is an outside-of-class reading assignment. You are to read ENDER'S GAME while completing your other assignments. ENDER'S GAME and the assingment is to be completed by March 1, 2006)

3. Read the reading assignments out of the green Literature book .
