JOB GOAL: To provide assistance to the supervising teachers at the job site, in order to allow the least restrictive learning environment.
MINIMUM Minimum
of high school diploma or equivalent education, training, and
QUALIFICATIONS: experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and
abilities. Completion of Special Education
competencies preferred or demonstrated history which would qualify applicant to
obtain competencies. Documented
one or more years experience working with behaviorally challenged elementary-aged
students. Priority given to applicants meeting other qualifications who are
fluent in Spanish. Demonstrated initiative, good task analysis, and ability to follow
directions. Possess good
communication skills. Ability
to be a cooperative and productive member of an instructional team carrying out
directions with minimum supervision.
Ability to communicate harmoniously with staff,
students and parents. Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
EMPLOYMENT 6 hrs/day, Monday-Friday, 174 days during the school year.
TERMS: Salary range: $12.95 -$15.43
per hour or per negotiated agreement. Ability to pass
Federal/State criminal history background clearance and all other mandated clearances. This position is part of the local bargaining
association. Medical, dental and other

Moderate strength and agility required for position. Mental demands include verbal and written
communication, interaction with students and staff, problem solving and
maintaining confidentiality of information.
